2007 28' Front Bedroom Classic

I understand that there will be a 28' front bedroom Classic for 2007. Should be a popular model. Also the Limited is to become the Classic Limited. No more Burgandy and Gold

Good news

I am obviously biased, but I think the 28 is the ideal length Airstream. It is far more comfortable than the 25, but not as heavy and cumbersome as the 30/31. I personally think that the 30/31 is a bit too much trailer for dual axles, especially in Limited trim or with a slide.

I suspect that the 28 Classic FB will have the longitudinal queen which is an improvement over the crossways queen in mine (just ask my wife ... she sleeps at the back). If it has wraparound windows on both ends, it will be awesome.

Never thought they would come up with a new one I'ld buy but this would be it for sure. I really really really like the dinette in the back. When will they start taking orders....

Any ideas about other options in this plan...will it have the dinnet in the rear or will there be other configurations? Just curious how it will be layed out.

My understanding is the layout will be similar to the Safari front bedroom with an island queen bed.

You mean the 25' FB or the 30' Bunk? The 25' FB has the cross turned queen, but in the SE trim has the wrap window as an option. A 28' might have enough length in the front bedroom for a center queen. The 30' Bunk has the center queen, but has a shirt closet on either side which would have to be omitted for a wrap window in the front.

not 28 but a 27 FB Classic Limited

Hi,
My local dealer just came back from the Airstream to Dealer meeting that was in Vegas this week.
Here's the info:
Dinnette-lounge social area at rear of unit incorporates textured Ultraleather as standard in this floorplan, and panoramic wrap rear windows. I understand that you can option it with the front panoramic also. This dealer did on the one's he said he ordered.
Choice of bedroom , Island queen, but the classic direction, not the cross version. Or twins.
7 cu feet frig
31x30 wardrobe
angled galley counter top with flip-up shelf for more counter space.

I was also told that the NEW LOOK will be with the natural Hickory hardwood cabinetry. The same as they have used in the motorhomes.
Oil rubbed bronze finish fixtures, faucets and shower
Country style sink ( double bowl)
Laguna natural maple flooring design
new sofa design
the awning color will change to a stripe in Pacific Blue and the chairs
outside graphics in blue and silver
new alum 5 spoke wheels

new options
flag storage box
40lb alum lp
textured updated design of sofa

I also have the new info on the other models but have to go take care of my daughter

Thanks for the details. I think that this floorplan in the Classic is going to generate a lot of interest. The one thing missing from the 28 was a dinette and to offer the Hickory as standard instead of Oak is a winner. This could very well be our next Airstream. Can't wait to see actual floor olans and photo's.

Airstream now building 2007

The local dealer here has 2 of these floorplan Classic Limited on order. From what I understand Airstream has started building for the new 2007 model year. Everything from put in as an order now will be a 2007.
Problem is that some dealers put in their entire year worth of order at this meeting they just had. So the build time is longer then normal.

Hi,
I posted just about everything I found out under a different post. Look for 'New 2007 international and safari.
I'm going to see if I can find out if they changed the size of the 25 black water tank.
You know how airstream is, they slip things in quietly.
From what I got, they are really focused on the release of the basecamp right now. They have advertised heavy all over the world.
Not something I would ever consider, but still can't wait to see them. Just because there is nothing like it.

When I picked up our new Safari this week end, our dealer and I was discussing that the 30' Bunk was really the only "family" floor plan Airstream had and it has now been discountinued. He told me that in a couple of years Airstream is going to introduce a more "budget friendly" line similar to the Argosy from the past. He didn't give me any details but he said the idea was to make a line that is more appealing to younger families. He talked like it would be a separate second lable like the Argosy had been, not an entry level model.

This is the trailer I would have had custom built. Hickory and leatherette in a FB 28. Gotta have it.

Any idea on MSRP.

second line of trailers

Hi Minnie,
That what I heard rumors of also. They are looking into a cheaper version of the airstream. But it's till just a thought they are looking into, not a planned direction they are committed to yet.

Do you know if this would this be a “painted Airstream” like the Argosy was or a squarestream like the final years of the Argosy and the Integrity?

Hey Kevbo10, this is a Classic thread, but thanks for the mention.

We do have a few pics of the Classic 27' taken at the dealer meeting on our home page too, for those that would like to see it,....... and that will get this thread back to the Classic.

I really like that hickory interior. I might just have to consider me a Classic afterall.
