New owner of a 68 in Calgary

Good day folks,

Just picked up my first airstream this past weekend after the previous owner was kind enough to store it indoors for the winter. Its a 22' California twin. In the shop now for a new axle with a 2" lift, but after that it should only need a light going over (floor covering, windows, anything with cloth on it).

Going with the mild lift for clearance as we head up to the Yukon annually and this should help with some of the tire eating potholes and frost heaves. Will also keep the stabilizer jacks we are adding from dragging (opinions on using 2 or 4 jacks? thinking 4 as the front post is a little loose).

Floor itself is solid and all the appliances work. Only real issue that we are aware of so far is the rear passenger side frame and bumper is bent out of alignment by about 3 inches, cosmetic and will be a pain to fix, but overall pretty good shape.

Fingers crossed that tanks and plumbing is as good as the seller has assured us,

I'm sure I will be back with questions, but for now, here she is in front of the prairie grain elevators in Nanton Alberta where I picked it up,

Cheers,
Kerry

Good choice on the trailer, sounds really nice. I am just south of you in Lethbridge and we recently bought ( a year ago ) a 1973 Ambassador Land Yacht. It currently is sitting beside our cabin at the lake as a guest house but the the plans are to completely remodel and update it so we can do some travelling.

Have fun with yours

Welcome to the Airstream community!
P.S. One of my favorite things I put in the airstream was a 4 qt Instapot .

And here is the Trailer...

A bit delayed, we are in the midst of house renovations...

I will add some interior shots once we collect it from the axle shop later this week. Thanks for the tip re the club and I look forward to meeting folks in the community in the coming years,

Cheers
