added two new shiny faucets last night, just haven't hooked them up yet. Still no pex.
But ..boy they look good!
I sanded and painted the bathroom sink Saturday with Krylon fusion and then gloss clear coat on Sunday. It came out good for 4 bucks worth of paint. Only a couple of very tiny spots I am not happy with, but that is only seen if u stick your face right on it. Been told that the paint holds up- guess we will see.

Found out that the hot water heater is a newer unit than I thought and looks pretty good all around. If it doesn't leak,,,I will clean it up soon. The tank seems to be solid all over. Great news,,,don't need to buy anything I don't need to buy.

I did use an angle grinder to cut off the corroded bathroom faucet. It would not budge otherwise. Also cut out the remainder of copper except for the curved piece that goes under the bed into the galley. Might have to pull the furnace to get to that one.
Got all the fittings I need to start, and crimp rings. Waiting to get a crimp tool next.

White box for toilet

Posted this before but no answer yet--the toilet lines run to a small white box mounted at the back of the trailer shell. Is this a pressure regulator? As soon as my crimp tool gets to me I want to start installing the pex. If need be I will use that box as it is, or maybe I can bypass it and use another newer regulator. Any know what that box is for?

No box in mine, but PO removed check and pressure regulator. They were not mounted in box. External pressure regulator used and everything seems to work. Haven't gone PEX yet.

while I am putting up pix, here are my two new faucets. I painted the bathroom sink, came out about 90% to my liking.

My owners manual shows a water filter being mounted there. Could that be it? One cold supply in 2 out.

cool! you might have hit it. I will remove it and see what is inside. My toilet seems to have 3 water lines. I will have to see why.

Got the fridge installed today, screwed it into the floor with 4 small brackets.
Started on the Pex, and laid some in, but will need flexible supply line to connect the faucets and toilet, it is too hard to do this any other way.

Got a perfect little Microwave to sit on the counter. Sharp "Half Pint." Also two aluminum wall sconces for the living room area.

Just not the outside yet. I have stripped what I could with the Removall I had left, but it was only one or two panels. Will have to order more.

OPD Valves

Still have not gotten the opd installed. The dealers I reached either don't have them or can't recertify them so far. No rush but ..
Will these fit? If so I might go ahead and do my own install...They are brass and 30# rated.

Alan:

I was trying to find people forever before I got them done in Illinois. I was told you have to get them certified showing they were installed by certified people. Otherwise they will not fill them with out the certification tag. The other thing is they use a certain type of glue for them, so they don't leak.

Blossman in Cleveland GA says they will do it if i leave them there for a day or so. I think I found the valves on EBAY finally most sellers have no clue if they will work for aluminum tanks, but the propaneguy there may have 2.
As long as the water works, my wife will be happy and we can cook with our microwave and grill for now.

Talk to Mark at Blossman in Canton,he should be able to help. You will have to leave them for a day but that is way closer. If you want I'll stop and see if he will do it.

I didn't know there was one there. Cartersville said they couldn't do it. I can get two valves from the propane guy on ebay...just need to install them. If I can get my old ones out, I might just buy and put the new ones in.
I live near Canton, so that could work too.

I appreciate that, I attempted to get the valves out today, forget about it! Back on the plumbing, and my wife is making the curtains. Got some pex done, the crimper is really cool and easy so far..

They did tell me that there was a possibility of the threads stripping when the old valve was removed. Mine turned out ok and they were a little older than yours.
