1968 Overlander Refrigerator Venting Requirements

Hi all,
I'm restoring my 1968 Overlander and I have chosen to relocate the original Fridge. Upon removal, I noticed that it had a floor vent as well as a roof vent. Does anyone know the actual requirements for ventilation, (before I go and cut a new hole in my roof?)
Thank you!

Depends on the fridge. The older floor and roof vent configuration is much better than the wall vents that the newer Airstreams use. The more separation you have, the better draft you'll get. Seek out an installation manual for your fridge and you'll find minimum ventilation requirements.

Are you set on a fridge that will operate on propane? If you were planning on lots of solar, you could use a DC marine compressor fridge, and wouldn't need vents at all.

Thank you for the info. It's a floor model and I'm pretty sure it's a Dometic. I'll have to double check. No, I'm not set on having a propane fridge, I'm just set on saving as much money as possible, and it seems to still work great, so, for now, I'm probably going to stick with it
Thank you again!
