1968 land yacht rusted metal under door

We just got a 1968 Overland land yacht.
I noticed the metal under the door is very rusted and I would like to resolve it before things get worse. Any recommendations on how to replace or repair this?

I am beginning the 'construction' phase of a '69 Overlander shell off. I believe what you are looking at are the outriggers rusting at the door. The outriggers at the door are in pairs to house the stair mechanism. Mine were rusted out and as a shell off, I had these replaced along with 5 or 6 other outriggers.

I'll see if i have some pics to send you.

I'd say the best repair would be to replace these outriggers. You may be able to do this with only the belly pan off?
