what is this ?

I was jacking up my 75 Soverign and next to the area for placement of jack I noticed a hole. I would like to seal it off to deter "critters" but it looks like it served or serves a purpose. I have had extensive restoration work done and wonder if it is still necessary? Any help would be appreciated.

It might be a hole for the bathroom fan (next to the toilet).

Concur it is the hole where the fan used to be for the bathroom, ripped a dead fan motor out of my 76 just a few months ago.

Thank you everyone, I guess we have" exhausted "all possibilities. It makes sense that it was a circulation fan because I noticed a similar size hole in cabinet on floor near toilet. More importantly I found the spot to Jack the trailer properly.
