Treat Floor???????

I pulled up the PO's (wow I'm even using airstream lingo!)
vinyl flooring in preperation for a wood laminate.

The floor is rock solid with zero soft spots nor indications of
prolonged wet areas.

I did notice that the wood was on the damp side under the
vinyl....... I'm guessing condensation??? It is airing out with
a good breeze.

Has anyone treated the wood prior to flooring??? Like a
Thompson's or simular product??

Should I put down a vapor barrier before the laminate?

No vapor barrier, traps moisture.

Look along your lower trim, may have moisture seeping in. I have not treated the floor in any of the ones I have done. (6 or so)

Sundance - The floor on my 1977 Argosy 24' was similiar to yours. After I pulled up the existing flooring I went online to Wood preservation, rot repair, and restoration using epoxy resin on boats and homes. and ordered the CPES that has been discussed a great deal on this forum. It was easy to apply and to me was a preventative action. I did have one weak spot, but the CPES tightened it right up. One gallon of each component did my floor with two coats and some leftover. Check out their website - they were great people to order from and have a great product!!! I do belive that laminate floors require some type of barrier (I think it is some type of paper), but best to check with the person you purchase the flooring from. Good luck on your project! What is the fix???

Your projects look fantastic balrgn. I'm envious. I sure wish
the Argosy did not have the front water tank. I love that
love seat look.

It is a fairly easy fix, remove the trim, and seal it. Check this link on how to.

Leak Repair

This is a common water intrusion point.
