Hi,I just had to post and tell all of you guys thanks,i've been reading a lot of your info hereand it helps a lot.I'm new to air streams and I've got the bug pretty bad.We found our
1954 26' cruiser by accident on craigslist,I like working on campers and have been wanting a old one and by chance found this one.I work with sheet metal for a living so I thought an airstream may be a good fit.It was on craigslist for 12 minutes and located about 3 hours from our home, which seams pretty close comparred to how far some of you have traveled. We purchased it for $750.00 and $130.00 in gas.Now all I do is think about aluminum and remodeling,so far I have about60-70 hours into it.I have it gutted and just finished removing the liner. The floor is in pretty bad shape,I am just about ready to lift the shell off,I need to get it all braced and finish drilling about half the rivets from the base outside.I originally started a thread in the cruiser category with some of my pictures(
http://www.airforums.com/forums/f228...r-45125-2.html) so this is where I usually spend my nights.
Thanks for readin and thanks for the info
Doug
