I've often wondered...during the de-construction phase, is it 'Progress' or 'digress'?

Any one know what this rusted area to the left of the entrance step should look like? Did it have aluminum over it originally?
I will need to replace it and would love to see it in its original form.
Any pictures would be great.
I see the picture is rotated 9o degrees. Not sure why.
Thanks!

It looked like that originally, just with a better looking coat of paint

Okay if you have not bought the flooring (plywood) yet then try to get the same thickness or as close to it as possible! What a pain in the back side! As you saw I did the dry fit first and got no cooperation from the beer can in training (used different words but not worth repeating!) I had the "C" channel made a little higher on the outside and yes had to cut that! I used .032 for the belly pan and yes my 6 year old grandson could have done better should have stuck with the .025. Let's just say the week could have gone better maybe I should take up drinking! Would but I can't drink booze unless I want a hospital stay! Maybe milk. You will do great just stick with the plan and try to use like materials.

story stick.

I used the story stick method to recreate the corner curves for the floor template. It made easy work of it.

Yes. Endcaps will stay in. I will not try to wrestle those out alone.

What is the best product to use to brighten up the cabinetry?
The cabinetry is in really nice shape but appears to be very dry.
