I jsut realized, I didn't take any pics of the bed frame in progress. Oh well. Here it is test-fitted. I'm really liking the rounded edges. Definitely worth the effort! I can't believe how quickly the trailer is filling up, though! Hope there's room for US when I'm done!

This weekend, I'm tackling the AC installation. More pics on that later. I've already made the internal shroud, but the camera battery died!

Incredible workmanship. I love the polished end cap with the wood surrounding it. I'm sure you can feel my envy oozing through the screen.

Keep up the outstanding restoration. It will be quite a "reflection" of your commitment to perfection when it's done.

I gotta find an excuse to go work up in Woodstock for a day. JP lives only a couple of miles from one of my work-sites. Unfortunately, I only make it up there occasionally.

OK, I haven't posted any pics lately, but I HAVE been making some headway! I removed the front couch, so I could trim out the corners to make room for the main power run to the panel. It came right out, like it should! While it was out, I installed another outlet next to where the intellipower will go. For the main run, I'm using conduit. I didn't want that line to be burried in a wall somewhere, in case I'd ever have to get to it again.

next on the list, I installed the fuse panel from VTS, and wired up all of the lights. Everythign works like a charm! NO bugs... amazing. Same with the 110 outlets.

So now, as she sits, the Silver Pickle has 99% of her wiring complete, and runs off the main power cord! I know it doesn't seem like a big step, but I was sick of dragging extension cords in there to get anything done!

It wouldn't be a show and tell without pics, so here we go... First off, the power cord, installed, hooked up and running! The plug just above it is a standard 110 outlet, and above that is the cable.

Next up, the block where all of the umbilical wires are connected. You can see the main power run (conduit) just below the block, behind the umbilical cable.

On another note, I'll start uploading larger pics of all this. I had been uploading smaller ones to save space. No worries now!

Here's the fuse panel and Inteli-Power. I'm planning on cleaning up the wiring on this later, probably this weekend. I was in a hurry to make sure everything worked!

I forgot to photograph the 2 side lamps when I installed them a few weeks ago. I had to make filler plates to cover the original homes (behind the lights), then I polished them, riveted them in, and put the new light fixtures in. I'm not 100% happy with the shades. We're olanning on doing something cool with them once we get to the interior touches. You can see on the wall next to the door I need to order a new switch. I kinda destroyed the switch set I had with my learn as you go modification mayem. ha!

here's the overall couch frame, once again, with all the supports in there, and a close-up of the back of the main power cord in and outlet out. I'm going to make a cover for that top one this weekend as well. Yeah, i KNOW you won't ever see it once the cushions are in there... but I'LL know!

and it'll drive me nuts if I don't finish it off!

Finally, a little fun... here's the porch light in 2 night shots last night just to see how much light the blue puts off. I think it will be perfect. Very low key. I love the eyebrow over it! I'm planning on making a few for the tail lights, if I can.

... I found this in a truck stop on our way back from Jekyll Island this past weekend. Anyone looking to accessorize their Grote Porch Light should definitely take a peek at the truck stops on your next trip.

They had lenses in blue, red and purple for $2 each! I only got the purple one, as I already have 3 blue... Red lights just don't seem to fit...

ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOXANNE!!!!!!!!!

of course, purple reminds me of Purple Rain, or Purple Haze, depending on my mood.... Anyway, that's on the "camping camper" (EVERY restorer should have a back-up unit!!!) Ours is a 64 Trade Wind.

I feel like I should just open the door on mine and rip it all out and start over after seeing yours and the others that have been done recently. It is gorgeous. And very motivating, in a weird sort of way. Guess it's time I rethink mine a bit.
