OK, the rear panel is cut, and clecoed in place. Once I get my eyebrow for the access door rivetted on, I can install it, and check it off the list! yaaaah!

So how does that blue light look at night? I put blue LED's under the step and one in the over-the-door light. I really, really, like 'em. Of course, the kids just shake thier heads and mutter something about a "geek" as they walk away in the dark.

I saw pics! very nice! I'm going to put some blue LEDs somewhere else in the interior. I don't know how mine looks yet. I haven't hooked power up yet! That's coming soon, though!

First thing on the list this weekend was to go ahead and install the 3 plugs on the front of the trailer. the top one is for cable, the second down has a standard plug in it, and the last, is of course the 30A in. They don't make a standard 110 outlet for the Marinco inlets, so I made one out of aluminum, and a panel plug from McMaster. Sorry, I didn't take sequence pics of that!

If you think it's scary drilling a 2 3/8 hole in your trailer, try 3 of em! haha!

Next up, I finished the 110 and 12V wiring everywhere but the switch by the door. feels good to have less wires hanging down inside the trailer!

the big news this weekend, though was starting on the front couch. It takes a lot longer to do the round corners as opposed to the square ones, But I think it's definitely worth it! I'm building th efront couch in 2 pieces to make it easier to sand and test fit. I'll assemble them both into one monster couch just before I spray the poly on it. I've also gone ahead and purchased an AC unit. THis morning, I layed out the plan for its installation. I'll post more of that next time.

THings feel like they're moving a little slowly, but I think it's because I've got so many little sub-projects underway at once. Gotta get this thing ready for October!!!

jp, how about more pictures and detail on your airconditioner install. I'm looking for new ideas for the install in the Flying Cloud. That is when I get back to working on that project. I've been sidetracked with two projects, painting the house and building a storage unit in the attic.

so far, the installation is limited to setting the unit on the floor of the trailer! I did draw a prety detailed plan, based of Uwe's installation. I'll try to decypher my pencil sketches and post something either today or tomorrow to make sure I haven't forgotten anything. Wouldn't want a leak inside an all wood airstream, now!

A couple of weeks ago, I saw Uwe's AC installatin and it was a thing of beauty. I didn't see all of the details but I can say it sure worked great. He did have quite a bit of condensation on the rear register over the bed though. Wonder how that could be fixed.

Hi Annie ~

Welcome to the forums. If your tiles are 9 inch, then they are the original asbestos ones. Take precautions if you remove them by ventilating your trailer and wear a quality respirator. If they are in good shape, then you will be safe to either keep them as they are or if you choose to cover them with carpet or some other type of covering. Asbestos tiles are only a concern if you are removing them since they tend to be brittle and break. That's when the airborn particles are an issue.

good progress on the couch! I built it on the work bench, taking good measurements, of course.... then... the big question was... will it fit? YES! like a glove!

Next up is the bed frame, then I can get the cushions made.

ANd no, i haven't forgotten the AC, still juggling that one! maybe this weekend!
