PO's aluminum patch

So, I'm finally settled in MD. The tow back and forth across the country has been hard on the Silver Olive. She looks awful I've had her stored in a boat yard for the past few months and went to check on her last week: OMG soaking wet inside. It seemed to be isolated to the front end, forward of galley, carpeting and seating. I don't know the cause yet but I suspect water intrusion from the partially open roof vent and my (poor) job on repairing and sealing those damn Vista View windows. Hell, I actually have no idea. Maybe the seams just opened up more during the travels - which from NV, were pretty rough.

I towed her to the house and parked her on the amazingly narrow street (the historic area - but off the beaten path) and tore out the carpet and gaucho.

I found an "interesting" 10"x12" sheet of aluminum secured to the floor along the curbside. After removing the sheet, Yay - a hole in the plywood flooring. What a beautiful surprise. NOT. After poking around, it seems like I have a 10"L (along wall) by 8" area of rot. Surprisingly though, nothing else in the front - even doorway area is solid.

Off to the box store to invest in a multi-oscillating-tool, plywood, fasteners and possibly sheet Al for belly pan work. Cripes!

I really hope there's no frame damage. In NV I had on-site welders and will just never forgive myself for not dropping the belly pan when I was out there.

Actually, guess I need to drag out the sealant and warm it up for application around the windows. Then maybe hit the seams with the Acryl-R. Wonder how long I can keep the Silver Olive on this street without being cited.

So, I'm cutting my teeth on this... will probably seek professional assistance with the bit observed through the rear compartment area.

Any advice, suggestions, volunteers to help are appreciated.
