Pipe frame subfloor

I am looking at buying a vintage airstream to restore, I found one I am interested in but it has a pipe frame.

How is the shell connected on the pipe frames? I was wondering if the subfloor can be removed without pulling the shell or does the subfloor go into a channel that holds the shell on? I was hoping I could remove the subfloor to clean and repair the frame if it is just minor damage without pulling the shell. The owner says the floor is solid but he cut a couple small holes in it to be able to inspect the frame.

I know there is a lot of debate on the safety of the pipe frames

You may consider contacting MrRivet or MsRivet here on the Forums. He’s working on a 48 and Sprouty is working on a 47. Good luck
