I am about 85% finished with a new frame for my '76 31'
Sovereign. I still need to weld on the outriggers for the step and the wheel wells. I am beginning to question my dimensioned drawing where it comes to the placement of the step outriggers.
I was hoping someone had a similar frame exposed so that I could get the dimension from the front edge of the frame rail to the center of the two step outriggers.
I have measured from the front of the shell to the middle of the door opening
[7' 6"], but I question where or not there is significant flex to the shell.
I could also get the required dimension if someone could measure from the from of the shell to the middle of the door opening on an intact AS. It's tricky. You have to clamp/hold a non-flexing straightedge to the front square to the side. It would probably be a two-person job? I need a confirmation on the 7' 6" measurement.
