How to replace floor in a 1991 29ft Excella?

Hello, We recently purchased a 1991 Excella and have discovered floor rot in the front and back and are wondering if anyone has any advice/tips on how to replace the rotted sections properly...I have read that the floor is part of the structural integrity so want to make sure that is properly supported but also don't want to replace the whole floor if it is not necessary as there is hardwood flooring that we are hoping to keep. Thanks in advance!

First off find the reason for the rot and fix that. Then find how extensive the rot is is. Yes you may have to remove any current hardwood flooring to determine this but it has to be done.

While the flooring is a part of the structure you can replace smaller sections without compromising the structure. You can only make that judgment once you have define the problem.

Hi. I am new to the forum. We just purchased a 92 34' Excella 1000 (also says airstream classic on the side). Before buying we did a fairly intense inspection and revealed some rot at the perimeter floor in the front to the left of the driver's side battery box, and to the right of the passanger side battery box as well as back behind the passanger side wheel well (accessed via the closet). The trailer had not been towed since the summer. Our only guess is that it is leaking at the seam on the outside of the trailer that runs around the perimeter of the trailer about floor height. Can anyone confirm this is a likely place and what the procedure is to fix this if this is in-fact the case? Thanks.
