hidden damage at the edges

I am replacing the rear floor section of my 66 Overlander. I am currently cleaning up the frame for the POR-15. Since I have gone this far, is there any reason for me to peel up the bottom part of the interior skin to check for any other floor rot. I can see every square inch of floor from the bottom, and all but the outside 1 ½” that is under the walls from the top. I see no signs of problems at all and I don’t want to waste my time chasing my tail. Could there be any problems that would only show by pulling up the wall a bit? Anybody been there? Thanks, TomE

not sure you'll see anything new pulling those off, since it will be covered with the c-channel. I mean if you're looking for things, you could find something, but might be more productive to use an ice-pick instead.

I agree that you will not find anything relating to floor rot, although you may find a bunch of other things and decide "I should fix that since I've got it this far" Be careful, It's like a giant black hole and will suck you in. before you know it you have the whole thing tore apart.
You will have to pull it off in the area that you are replacing the floor though. there are supposed to be bolts holding the C-channel to the frame in there, and pulling those panels is the only way to get at them.
