Floor vents in a '64 Tradewind?

I tried looking for this, but couldn't find it in the forums I searched...our Tradewind has a 6" vent in the bathroom floor by the closet and another vent under the stove/oven. We know what the refrigerator vent is for, but don't know about these others. The PO had removed most of the tile from the floor, so it's just an open metal vent. Is it for the heater? The heater appears to be under the sink, but I think I read elsewhere that it is a hazard, so we're planning to replace it.

Yes it's for the heater. I have the same vents in my '66 TW. However, a PO has removed the heater and placed a propane heater in the bathroom on the cabinet under the wardrobe door. Unless you will be doing cold weather camping that plus a (as we have) portable propane heater in the 'living' area should be warm enough. If you will be camping where shore power is available some use the portable ceramic heaters. The furnaces like that came with the trailer are good except use a lot of the battery running it's fan when boondocking.

We have the same in the '68 Tradewind. During shell of restoration I was able to observe the duct work and also saw that the heat was allowed to flow around the black tank so it wouldn't freeze down under the bathroom. Since we're in the northeast, that is important, so it is all going back in as originally designed. (We now have a gray and black tank).

Thanks! Living where we do, things like keeping a black tank from freezing wouldn't occur to us. But we should keep it in mind if we ever work up the nerve to go to the mountains in winter. (I feel like such a wuss for writing that!)
