floor repair in '68 Caravel

I just got my '68 Caravel home and started the assessment of floor and frame. Yesterday, I took up the curb side furniture and all the layers that have accrued since life began in the factory. I did a piecemeal floor repair in my 79 Sovereign which had 5/8" marine plywood held down with hex head bolts similar to elevator bolts. So far with what flooring that I removed, there was one repair done by the door, where the plywood was basically floating on a piece of galvanized steel that was on top of the foam insulation. The remainder of the exposed plywood looks pristine. What I didn't see was any screws holding the plywood down, and the thickness is above 3/4". Did the factory glue a 1/4" smooth plywood down over a 5/8" to receive the linoleum tile in this era?
