Floor Ding damage. How to repair
We just got our 30 foot flying cloud and we noticed a ding on the laminate floor by the front door (see picture)
Any idea how to repair a small ding like this on the laminate floor?
We told our dealer about it because it should be in the warranty, but we can't get into the dealership anytime soon to get it repaired. Thanks.

I've always put a rug there. Get it fixed when you can?

If you are worried about water intrusion to the sub-flooring, you can apply high end acrylic caulk to fill, knife flush and then wipe lightly with a damp sponge. Let dry, then cover with a mat like avion suggested. This would not be permanent, but should protect the plywood until you can get it repaired properly.

There is no easy fix. That is a single piece of vinyl that is laid down before any cabinets / beds / couches / etc. are installed.
I'd ask for $$ compensation and throw a rug over it. in 5 or 10 years (depending on use) when its time for new flooring you can deal with replacement then...

I agree...Ask for a big pile of cash, put some putty in the hole and camp on.

I have used www.vinylladies.com (serving greater Southern Cal area) with excellent results, an easy repair for them.

This takes me back to my days with our camper rental business. The hole cannot be repaired it needs to be replaced. We used colored caulking but that is only a temporary fix. The laminate is designed to move, the caulk stays in one place. I would be more concerned as to how it got there. It looks like a burn and if it is why was something hot enough to melt the laminate inside your trailer?

That may be a hole through the floor where grandma fired her 9mm at a mouse. Is there an exit hole in the belly pan?

Agree on replacement or settlement with dealer. If settlement, find calking close in color and fill in hole, and buy a Airstream door mat. Looks to be a pencil size hole.

Yes this can be repaired, I have had several holes and gouges just like this repaired. The Vinyl Ladies do not use caulk, they actually repair the hole.

Yes! it CAN be done!!! I have had some work done to prior motorhomes by the vinyl wizards and the hole/tear/defect became a think of the past!
When you find a talented vinyl repair person......put their number at the top of your phone list!!!!!

Had one fixed in my 2014 FC by a vinyl wizzard. Is it a perfect match no, but it's pretty close. After two years of heavy use no issues with the repair.
