Deal or no deal?

I found a 1972 31' Excella 500 center bath, rear twins, up the road from me. 80% intact inside although horribly filthy, floor has two thru holes, one under front window, one under rear. Outside is so-so. No frame sag or seperation. No major tears, steps are missing, entry door latch broken inside, axles sagged past usefulness, tires shot. Vista views cloudy, no keys for outside doors. No title, which doesnt worry me too much, Secretary of State said it is easy to apply for, as long as no lien on it. Ran numbers thru police, not stolen. I have restored a few sob's in the past. Fully realize how much time and money is involved. Have been reading these renovation forums for over a year while looking for my project. Not going into this blind by any means.

Talked the guy down to $500 bucks. What do you think? Worst case, I can probably scrap it out and break even.

Ya DEAL. I'd buy it. Fix it up and clean it you'd get more than that out of it even in these times.

Ditto...

It's worth that in scrap value....Bring her home, give her a faclift, and put her on the road again.

Best of luck,

Kevin
