Correct procedure for checking for floor rot

I have heard to check the floor for rot around the perimeter with an ice pick.
How do you check the rear area under the bathroom sink and head?
Also a small soft spot by a front window near the door is repaired how?

If you find rot in any other area of your trailer then I am sorry to say that you already know that rot is in the back bath areas and front window areas (because these are the areas with the most rot)!... Depending on trailer, which I still have not run across one without, They all have rot! It is a major problem with all Airstream of any size or year made!

You just have to get to the areas that you can reach and make a judgment from that. Open the cabinets and poke around under the sink and work as close to the edge of the toilet that you can reach.

If you want a true test remove the belly pan and work from below.

Ditto to Vinstream. Buy it expecting to replace the floor. Otherwise you're trying to draw to an inside straight. Also factor in the price of new axles, they also have a relativly short lifespan.
