2019 FC Floor Delaminating

HI,

As title says my 2019 Flying Clouds floor is delaminating or just wearing way too fast! Please see photo. There's about 5 more spots just a bit smaller than this and a few spots where something I moved sort of tore scraped it.

I'm a full timer and I have made modifications and use a heavy office chair (Aeron Chair) in this section so fear it's all my fault. But this floor seems very fragile in the scheme of things.

Doubt it would be warranty issue (or would it?) so if I have to come up with something to make the floor look nicer what would be the best and EASIEST approach. I'm not in the position to pull all the cabinets out so it would have to be something I could lay down that's more rugged. I considered some sort of Pergo style locking planks but see a few minor issues I'd need to resolve. I never liked the way those "float" and require base moulding to hide the gap...

Any thoughts on my next step?

Is this "normal" for these 2019 floors? I had a 2019 Sport and while I don't recall the floor (gray Pergo type maybe?) it showed ZERO wear after almost a year on the road. Looked brand new.

Thanks!

Trav

Hi

Roller chairs put a *lot* of pressure on a very small area of flooring. If the wheels jam a bit as you try to make them turn ( dog fur is great at causing this .... I have a lot of data ... ) the combination of the down force and twist gets a bit crazy.

Even in very normal "home" settings you can see wear and tear. Plastic floor covers get deployed to reduce this ....

It almost resembles a burn, not saying it is. I would consult with a carpet installer, with the pattern I am sure they can patch it maybe transplanting a small piece from an inconspicuous area. Another option is maybe buying a piece from Airstream. Good luck. Edit..Reading your post over I see it’s multiple areas, but maybe a consult may be worthwhile.
