Question 1972 Overlander floor channel question

So I'm in the process of lifting my shell on my 1972 OL and after removing the banana wraps and underbelly I've realized the channel running along the side walls has essentially been unattached and now just holds to the sub floor by elevator bolts. Should this be lifted with the shell or does the stay on the floor as shell is lifted? I know some years it goes up and some in stays down and I haven't been able to fine any threads saying which is right or wrong. I appreciate any feed back!

Thanks y'all!!

Any of the section of C-channel that rest on the floor but do not wrap around the edge should stay attached to the shell. Those that wrap around the edge need to have the rivets drilled out so that the stay with the floor.

Good luck!
