'78 Ambassador called Trouble
Hey guys! Thought I'd start sharing a few of my updates from my project/future full time home. This Stream has rightfully earned it's name... Trouble. When I first got it I was thinking "some paint, lil elbow grease... I'm good to go!" Well, as we all know, life happens. Some floor rot and a million leaks later, I found myself in a gutted trailer. The good news is it's going to be awesome!!! (eventually. ) Here are a few pictures of what I've been up to, and my blog in my signature has more details So far plan of attack is fix the leaks!! and then find more leaks and fix them too! and then think you're good and still find more! and eventually move on to everything else These pictures include conquering several massive leaks including the battery boxes (batteries will be mounted on hitch) fridge vent (no longer using propane vented fridge) and damage caused by leaky windows.

but wait... there's more!
More pictures! These include snapshots off replacing the interior skins with new aluminum, (yippee!!) the styrofoam insulation that's worked great for us, (1.5" thick- perfect for the depth of the wall) unexpected leaks from the wheel well trim and rub rail, spiffy new wheel well covers for the interior, yucky old windows, and installing refurbed tinted windows!

My future color scheme
Just adding some fun stuff that I have planned for my trailer The green will be my kitchen and bathroom bulkhead wall color, the light seafoam is the cabinet color and the darker one will be the interior of the cabinet. The purple will be the couch cushion and upholstered bulkhead walls at the head and foot of the bed, and the red is an accent color in a lot of my pillows and throws. The walls are going to be the new aluminum and the floors will have a warm wood finish. Can't wait till I can actually get to the paint and cushion sewing stage!

Thanks! To be honest I bought the trailer at the end of November, so we've been through fits and spurts of real quick progress. Plus I was living in it before I started gutting it haha! So far the end caps are my favorite part

Hey all, I have what I think is the best purchase for under $100 (including shipping) for my trailer! Stabilizing jacks that can level the Stream on uneven surfaces. It feels sturdy and stable inside and no bouncing up and down or rocking.
Work on the windows is slow and tedious, but the results are looking great, IMO I can't wait till I get them all done!
Also purchased three Fantastic Fans, so I'll share that with you when I find the time (and courage) to go up on the roof and put those babies in. I think it'll really be great having all that natural light coming in.

Hi forum peeps. Did the fantastic fan install and knocked out that tv antenna leak with one patch! The other two we made two smaller rectangular patches to keep it lookin sleek and water tight This is such an upgrade I'm very happy with how it looks now and more light on the inside of my tin can home!

I've been keeping up with the blog and seeing the progress. Great job! I love the mood board you put together. Where did you find the fabrics in the bottom right?

Fabrics
Thanks! Those are mexican blankets (just a pic I grabbed off pintrest ) but I have a red one I bought at a famous outdoor market at San Cristobal de las Casas in Chiapas, Mexico. If you ever have the chance- GO! Chiapas is so beautiful. I wanted to include that in because I have a lot of things in that very colorful style. The pillows on the top are similar to some Panamanian fabrics I also made into pillows. Thinking about this sort of stuff is so much easier for me than sheet metal cuts haha!

Hi guys! Most of the work that's been done lately is electrical- not a whole lot of pictures since an electrician is doing that (thank goodness it's not me!!) but I did get to install a fancy panel from Inland RV that no longer has a patch! And A new city water fill that's not next to the dump valve:P

Hi all, since the cable that connects the old antenna base to the stereo is long gone (and basically impossible to find, as radio experts and the Googles informed me) I replaced the whole assembly for a Rather Fancy Antenna! I think it's fancy, anyways- for less than $20! And has 3 segments to extend to 54".
