AC thermostat wire colors - 71 Ambassador

Hi All,
(Forgive the double post with the AC forum)

I'm replacing the A/C thermostat in my 1971 Ambassador 29. This unit had a separate thermostat for the heat. In the process of the rebuild the old thermostat has disappeared.

The four wires (original, I believe) which went to the old thermostat are :
black, brown, red and green.

Could someone tell me how those map to sockets on the new thermostat:
R+Rc (Power)
Y (Compressor contactor)
C (24vac common - optional)
G (Fan Relay)

I realize I'm being lazy but I'm still a bit overwhelmed and really don't want to delve into the AC unit now if I don't have to.
Thanks very much,
Manning
