What ya think?

Looked at trailer on SAT, agreed on price, gave seller $2500 'non refundable' deposit, both signed a bill of sale that stated I have till Jan 23rd for balance due. I mentioned we can meet @ my bank (1 mile from sellers house) the following SAT and I would pickup trailer then. He was in agreement and mentioned he had a LEIN on trailer and would pay it off then. Later that day, I arranged for a fellow Airstreamer to help me get it home since the hitch setup (buying sellers Equalizer) and brake controller were all new to me. Anyways, all is good until today (Sun). Seller text; "If you want out of this deal, let me know. I have 3 buyers lined up ready to go. I have to leave town on Thurs so I need the money by Wens. You can get trailer Sat, I will have someone open the gate". I texted seller, I can pay Wens. Airstream located at sellers house that has gates. Hum? I asked seller if he would help me hook up hitch, no response so I'm guessing I'm on my own since buddy is not available Wens. Not sure what title paperwork seller will present me on Wens. Questions: 1-- I'm guessing trailer (2008 Classic 25') has hydraulic brakes cause i saw a manual for 'Actibrake' and I thought I saw reservoir on starboard side (Tekonsha Brake Controller asks if ELEC or HYDR when setting up). 2-- If I'm only towing 40miles, do I even need the sway\load bars just to get it home so I can figure all this out (newbie)? 3--Any Got Ya departure items to check other than the normal stuff like tire pressure, stabilizers up, compartments locked, antenna down, steps up, trailer lights...Anyways, if any Austin Airstreamers are available this Wens, name your beer price.

Update; All good. Seller paid off LEIN, meeting at local registration office to do title work tomorrow. Feel confident towing home after watching youtube videos on hitch\brake controller setup. Happy days....

That's good. I'm not in your area but you might want to research the forum for inspectors in your area or possibly members of a local WBCCI chapter who could provide additional info. Good luck!

All good, did title transfer today and drove trailer home. Hitch setup turned out OK but will need tweaking when I get time. Towed great but I need frickin' tow mirrors cause Sweet Pea is wide! Learning on the fly!

Wal-Mart has $30 or so strap on mirrors, best have mirrors or the Smokey can give you a ticket.
