Smile Should I buy 94 Airstream landyacht 79k miles? Why Airtsream over other motor homes

Hello, “Your advice is needed” I’m thinking about buying a 94 Airstream landyacht RV 30 ft gas engine, but I do not know anything about this product. The coach has 79,000 miles and it’s very clean. It cost a bit more than a 94 Winnebago or Coachman but I like the way it looks. Can you tell me anything about the manufacturing of the MH, reliability, durability, and overall performance? Thanks

Do not miss out on your chance to buy a land yacht

We had a 2004 land yacht. Replaced it with a 2006 A37 with a side by side fridge, washer dryer combo and more storage to accommodate a 3rd adult traveling with us. The land yacht had its issues, but what do you expect with an 18 year motorhome. Once the kinks are worked out an Airstream holds its value better than most other brands. What we found is Airstream used quality parts usually available mainstream.. They all need attention at a point. We did all the maintenance, added anti sway , and got it up to speed. Our 16 year old 2006 A37 was needy at first, but we are confident it will be a runner. Just a little more conveniences onboard and heavier to handle the wind better. Find a reliable mobile rv technician to help fix the house items. Cheaper and quicker response, plus our obile rv guy came to the house. We were sad when we ran out of work for him. He is on our speed dial.

Does the Airstream look cared for? If it looks like it was lived in or rough.. For example we saw one with gel coat coming off, rusted engine, rusted hot water tank, plus it was dirty like they only cared about using it but not taking care of it.. to me,, means they may not have done the oil changes and other maintenance and may be a nightmare to own. We walked away and found another one in better shape. This is up to you. You know your abilities for repairs and finances.
