Purchasing in the age of COVID - thoughts?

Wanted to see i what if any experience folks have had with buying new or used airstreams over the past few months. Seeing that the current state of affairs and the constantly shifting landscape, I was curious about what your experience has been?

-Are you finding inventory levels low?
-Were you able to negotiate % of MSRP?
-Do you think it is worth waiting till the fall/winter?
-Have you found that single axels trailers are harder to find then double?
-Do you anticipate the market to be flooded with trailers in the fall? (First time buyers having remorse or discovering the lifestyle is not for them)

I feel like right now is a very strange time for the market? Many folks are making big life decision without much clarity of what the future holds. I curious to see how things play out. It could work either way. A) people continue to buy sight unseen and inventory remains low. B) The true effects of the pandemic reveal themselves in the economy this fall and the market is flooded with recently purchased trailers.

Would love to get peoples perspective and thoughts on this! Cheers!

Just take a look at Colonial Airstreams inventory. They are one of the larger dealers. No new single axle trailers in stock. One used 22.
I wouldn’t expect much of a discount this year. Who knows what the fall will hold but being able to camp this summer is priceless. Spending a night in a state park with my son is especially important this summer when there are limited things to do. I would not even consider tent camping in the local parks by me. They are mostly filled with tents which means lots and lots of people using the common toilets and showers.
If I didn’t already have a camper I would be willing to pay the premium this summer and roll the dice on the fall pricing.

RV's are very popular right now due to COVID. It won't change in the fall. So my advice, "If you get one you like at a price you can afford go for it." It's like trying to play the stock market. Those that try to constantly try to hit market trends almost always end up loosing money. As for COVID; this too shall pass. If it isn't because of a vaccine it will be because of herd immunity.

P.S. No safer place to be than out in the open air camping.
