Plant Tour Next Friday

We are continuing our purchase research by touring the factory next Friday. Any recommendations of things to be sure to do and see while we are there?

Friday is my favorite day to take the tour, because the production line is not active...the absence of backround noise will make it much easier to communicate with the tour guide. If you're asking about things to do in that area, the Air Force Museum in Dayton is worth a visit.

You can't take photos on the tour (they are probably afraid of OSHA) though using a phone to do so would be hard to notice. There may be some trailers on the line which you can look through while they are being built. You will see a lot, but it becomes a lot and you will learn something, but wish you could have had more time.

The service center is behind the area where you start the tour and no one has ever stopped me from going in there and looking around when we've had our trailer there. Just don't get in anyone's way.

There a restaurant in a Victorian house east from the Airstream plant on the main drag—on south side of street. Can't remember the name, but they have decent food.

The Airstream store is dangerous because of the toys for sale.

Yeah, stop by the Terraport and I'll show you all my filiform corrosion. You won't get to see this on the tour!

...now THERE'S an idea: an "alternative" tour right down the street from the factory (I doubt you'll still be welcome at the Terraport). As a gesture of support, I'll drag mine over from St. Louis...let's call it "exhibit B"...

No Signatures were being built during our plant tour this past Friday. Bummer!! As usual in my life, what I like is not what is the most popular.
