looking to buy a 25' AS trailer

I guess the first thing to look at is the overall condition inside and out. I really like the "wood" floors. It can be either 2 beds or a single for the master. Like the idea of a "newer model" because of less years on the frig, water heater, AC etc. But, the question is now is there a difference in construction from a 1998-99 and a 2005-2007 model? Is it a concern?
I would always include a look under the unit to see if there is salt damage or road damage that is visible. But what do readers otherwise have to say?

There are a few differences in the method of construction, but nothing that has any major effect, other than the labor costs of manufacturing.

Be careful of any torsion axle equipped trailer, if it has been parked for a couple of years or more.

The rubber rods in the axles must be exercised or, they can soften or solidify, in either case, making it necessary to replace the axles.

The new exterior finish, is much longer lasting than those in the 90's.

My wife and I bought our 1985 25 foot Sovereign 4 years ago. The best advice to give you is to really take your time and inspect condition. What ever year it will be, the condition can vary greatly on many fronts. Previous owner's attention to problems to be addressed. Where and how the unit was stored when not used is important, undercover, in the open sun or covered.

We think the 25 foot is an ideal size, maybe you will too! Look under my profile of photos for our floor plan.

Good luck and welcome to the Airforums, the best place for info and advice regarding Airstreaming!
