Is floor rot common to specific years or all Airstreams

Looking at buying an Airstream and I'm curious if floor rot is common on all Airstreams or just specific years. I've seen on this forum people saying they've had issues with Safari's, little mentions with classic's. Anyhow was this issue with floor rot rectified with newer models?

Thanks

Any Airstream that has had a leak (shell and/or plumbing) that was not quickly identified and fixed is a candidate for floor rot. This is independent of any particular year or model. Leak inspection and repair is a continuous preventative maintenance activity with all RVs.

Your concern has been 100% eliminated with the current generation of Airstream. Some 2020 and all 2021 trailers (excluding Nest and BaseCamp) have single-piece composite flooring. Floor rot is a non-factor on these models.

I’ve heard On this forum that some of the mid-2000 Safaris were not sealed well at the rear bumper compartment and floor. My 06 Safari was sealed well and was not a problem.

Any Airstream built with an OSB floor is more prone to damage from leaks. It is a well known issue that has history in posts here.
