Question Inspection advice Fri 3/6 2-5PM EST ??

My sister and brother-in-law are going to be doing a pre-delivery inspection of a 2007 Safari 27 SE/LS on Friday 3/6/2009 starting at 2PM EST. If it checks out, then it's mine.

I'm in Atlanta. They are from Waco but will be in Houston for the inspection & pickup. We'll be talking on the phone as the inspection proceeds I would think.

It will be my Airstream, but I've never owned an RV. They've had a 5th wheel of some sort for some years but won't be familiar with some of the details of the Airstream. I trust their judgment but there will be things they don't know and they will call me. Basically, it's only 2 years old and can't be very messed up. I've seen about 50 pictures of it inside and out, and it seems fine.

Many of those things I won't know either. How to check the hot water heater in both gas and electric. Same for refrigerator. Operating the awning. Potentially quite a few things.

I was wondering if someone here might be able to answer questions for me by phone during that timeframe. I could take their questions or conference them in as needed. I'm afraid the message board would be too slow even if we were replying immediately. Just the typing of answers. Maybe, but ideally someone who wouldn't mind might private message me and we could make arrangements to talk by phone as needed in that timeframe. Might be fun. It will certainly be exciting for me.

If nothing else, if you see activity on this thread Friday afternoon, I'm probably firing off questions that someone might be able to give quick answers to.

It's getting close now!!!

Take a look at the inspection checklist in the following link and fire it off to your inspections team, it should help.

If they have had RVs then they will be faimiar with the internal systems on an Airstream as they are mostly from the same manufacturers that the SOBs use.

Good luck and let us know how the inspection goes.
