Hiring inspector for auction Airstream

Thinking of buying Airstream at auction out of our area. Trailer has hail damage; doesn’t show up in photos. Owned by insurance co. Is it worth hiring an inspector to check it out?

If you are not going to look at it in person then it is definitely worth have someone else look at it. Buying site unseen is scary.

I would never buy a trailer "sight unseen." That being said, when a huge percentage of an Airstream is its aesthetic appeal, and it has been "totaled" because of aesthetic damage, be sure you and your inspector have the same understanding of how bad is too bad when it comes to hail damage. And don't forget to inspect all the other stuff that is typically wrong with a neglected trailer, especially rotten flooring, and bad major appliances (AC, refrigerator).

good luck!
