Help ID an old Airstream

Today when driving around an unfamiliar neighborhood, I spotted an old Airstream. It was in someone's driveway screened by some trees.

No one was home so I took the liberty of writing down the particulars (but did not touch anything).

The name plate read International, Land Yacht, Sovereign, C168FH, 1308J097, made in Jackson Center Ohio. Red number on front of trailer, 677.

The whole trailer seemed complete and in good condition with one dent the size of a penny. But dull and neglected looking. The propane tanks bore a date of 1990. Around here propane dealers are not allowed to fill tanks over 10 years old.

Can anyone give me particulars of year, model, layout or other info and possibly a value? I would rate the condition as very restorable but no doubt needing much work to be usable.

That trailer serial number says that it's an International, 30 foot, 1968 model made in Jackson Center, Ohio.

The red numbers are a Wally Byam club membership number.

At the present time only WBCCI regional officers are assigned 3 digit numbers. 677 is not currently assigned

From the worn look of the number I think it was assigned to the original owner. Probably someone from Ontario Canada if anyone has the books from the late 60s or early 70s.

The 677 number was assigned to Ed and Evelyn Goodier from Picton, Ont. and appears as late as 1983. That is 26 years ago.

So an educated guess would be that the trailer was sold new to Ed and Evelyn Goodier of Picton who used it until 1983. It was sold to the present owners (I think their name is Rogers) in about 1990 (those 1990 propane tanks). They used it for a while but have not used it for at least 8 years (when the tanks expired).

I may be buying an Airstream. The owners are away for the weekend but hope to contact them next week. Will keep you posted.

Latest update. Turns out the owner is a regular on this forum and is not interested in selling. It is to be restored as soon as the owner finishes another project.

I guess finding old Airstreams is half the fun. Maybe next time I will be in luck.
