Gutted Airstream for Studio?

Hello,
I am new to the Airstream world. I'm looking at complete / restored / camp-ready trailers but also interested in getting one to use as a backyard studio, and this seems like a more attainable goal at the moment. I'm looking at local listings for gutted trailers and wondering how much of an undertaking it would be to get it in shape for a studio with electricity, but no plumbing.

What would be the approximate costs of getting this in studio-shape? Apart from the obvious (axle/tires, frame, floor, windows, insulation, electrical, exterior leak-proofing and eventually prettifying), what are some other components that I should anticipate having to put money/time into?

Welcome to the forum! Considerable knowledge and opinions here to help with your decision.

I will mention that I have a 1947 Spartan Manor (way cooler looking than an A/S and bigger windows!) that I have been working on for several years. It is 25 ft, front and rear door, new front and rear windows, new subfloor, new axel and 3 new tires (one spare), six stabilizers, hitch has been extended 18 inches to avoid jack knifing during turning/backing & new hitch. It is at the point the interior needs to be finished as desired and systems installed. Body is in desent shape and will polish very well. Also have made to fit holding tanks.

Been working on it with a buddy and we have decided to go different directions in what we want in a trailer. It would be an ideal candidate for a studio or mobile retail store. Or a really nice camper! It is located half way between Houston and Dallas in Jewett, TX. It is a blank slate ready for your customization.

Can easily coordinate viewing, maybe 150 miles from Dripping Springs. Again, welcome!
