I listed my 2013 Flying Cloud 20 for sale yesterday. Within minutes of the time the ad was approved, I received an offer to purchase at full price via a text message on my phone. The "buyer" would not accept a phone call at the text phone number and would not call me. He would only purchase thu PayPal then sent a fraudulant email to me saying funds in excess of the purchase price were now in my PayPal account, looking as if it came from PayPal asking me to forward part of the funds to the shipper. I am not stupid so I went directly to my PAYPAL account and of course found no activity. I stopped communication and deleted the emails after forwarding them to PayPal. the phone number was 708-316-8158 .

Looking for parts, contacted with too good to be true, but just believable. Reseached seller and he had a record for theft. Beware and check out everybody.

Help, I smell a scam: 2016 Airstream Interstate Grand Tour Ext. Got a text saying he would pay by PayPal, sight unseen, and have someone pick up the van. Any advice from Airstream Forum community?

Thanks for posting that. Do you have a phone number or email to report suspected scam activity?

You can accept a bank wire transfer - directly from the buyer's bank to yours. Or of course, there's always cash! That should work just fine if the buyer is legit.
