I haven’t heard anything yet on 2021 models. Production has been halted for a bit too, so I wouldn’t be surprised if this information ends up being pushed a bit more to allow the factory to catch up on any back orders.
I can tell you the major differences in the classic occurred between 2018 and 2019. Between 2019 and 2020 it is minimal. Wondering if the new interior is going to be the bulk of the differences this year?

Flying Cloud gets a tankless water heater, upgraded inverter/charging, interior finish/hardware updates, and a $1000 price increase.

2021 Flying Cloud
Colonial Airstream showing 2021 Flying Clouds inbound with Sierra Sand, Carolina Clay, and Seattle Mist interiors. Thrilled with this as we are planning a 28RBQ this year and we hate the Truffle. Colonial orders most of their FCs with Truffle. Not sure what the three new colors look like. I couldn't find anything online.

I have heard a rumor that airstream is going to Finally eliminate the plywood subfloor and go with composite.
If this is true, this will be the most significant change in a very long time, if not ever.
It will mean that airstream is actually doing something this model year to improve the trailer itself rather than mere cosmetic fashion changes. Imagine an airstream trailer where the floor never rots!

From my own experience I know how excited you must be. Did you get one of the new colors for the interior? What is the ETA?
Thanks!

The new subfloor is the single biggest and best change Airstream has made since I started in this "hobby". Many might say ducted air, but I live with pre-ducted air just fine. The new floor means a trailer that can last longer without some serious maintenance costs!

Airstream posted a video of the new 2021 International (no more Serenity). The interior has been re-themed to something called Coastal Cove with two color options. While it is not bad, we are so glad we ordered our 2020 Serenity, 30RB twin in Salsa. Came in last week and the dealer is installing a solar package and a Classic handle at the entry. We pick it up next Wednesday, cant wait.

How could you tell if a 2020 model has wood or composite. Every thing is covered.

You could always ask, surely the sales person wouldn't lie just to close, would they?
You will find out for sure in about 10 years or so.

2021 Flying Cloud pictures just went up on Airstreams website. On the 23fb the new colors and hardware are great. Flat overhead doors and loss of the bathroom door portal window, not so great.

Of course anyone unhappy with their interior design can spend some time with Benjamin (Moore) or Sherwin (Williams) or JoAnn (Fabrics) and make whatever changes their heart desires

Tankless Water Heater not an upgrade IMHO. My good friend has one of these in his 2019 Lance 1985 and hates it. It triggers on and off every time you turn on hot water. Makes for very uneven delivery of hot water. The shower being the worst. He had it checked out by 3 different dealers and was deemed operating fine.
Why replace a nice simple regular water heater design that has worked well for decades. kind of like the "Relax" Zip Dee Power Awning that is not so "Relaxing" when it wont function. K.I.S.S.
The upgraded Inverter/Charger may be a good move depending...…..

Hope I have a better experience, I will never have another home without a tankless heater.
