2020 AS Globetrotter 27FBQ

Hey Friends,

I have a question for the group. We are going to purchase our first AS and we have locked in on the Globetrotter 27FBQ. It has a sticker price of $119,000 with options.

From experienced AS purchasers, what should I expect to really pay for the unit? I am located in North Carolina.

If you’d prefer to email me, rather than posting on this thread, my email is nchoffmanr@gmail.com.

What to pay

Your very lucky. One of the oldest and best Airstream dealers in the country is down the street from you. That would be Out of Doors Mart just outside of Greensboro. Go there, tell them want you want. Expect approx. 20% off MSRP. Add 3% sales tax (maximum in North Carolina is $2000.00 and you will be at the maximum), add the wonderful $2000.00 one time North Carolina Road Use Fee (really a tax), and a small dealer admin fee (I think we paid about $265.00) and there you have it.

Out of Doors Mart was extremely easy to deal with, no pressure, delivered what the promised. We purchased a 2019 Flying Cloud 25 RBT in May, 2019 from them. This was our second new Airstream purchase (first was a 2017 Int. Serenity 23D from Colonial Airstream). We will buy our next new one from Out of Doors Mart. Good luck.

Oh, ask them to include a Equalizer WD hitch as part of the deal including installation.

Yearly tag Fee and Insurance

In North Carolina your annual tag fee is going to be north of $500.00 including the property tax depending on where you live. Just so you not surprised. We used FCIS for our insurance and found they had the best rate through Progressive.
