Very disturbling actually, just so wrong. I have office color copiers that do 1200 dpi or higher any of these could have produced a better quality image than these tables had.
Have you seen any of these boomerang patterns in person?
I've also seen reproduction "cracked ice" that can't be told from the original - trust me, we had red cracked ice table and counters in our kitchen and the neighbors had gray in their dining room set. That table was so well built that we stood on it to paint ceilings. They literally don't build them that way anymore.
As for "burnt orange" - any color can be a great accent color, and orange gives a real pop to a lot of more subdued colors. The 70's just had some wierd combinations of gold, green and orange - restraint wasn't a buzz word for that decade was it?
The 50's were really the first age of color in the bathroom. I remember when we redid our bathroom and mother was agape in the showroom - there were pink, seafoam, turquoise, and beige fixtures to choose from - white was just passe. Mom went with the beige, but in working with old home renovators I've seen many many pink China ones. For a few years there was even a craze for color coordinated toilet paper. One premium brand even advertized two layers in different colors, pink on white or yellow on white or green on white. Of course it all ended up as brown on pink on white....
It's interesting how things come back into fashion. One wonders how long Airstream will remain "hot" or if it will survive the next cool cycle. Pleased it's come back from 2008 when so many folded.

I think the boomerang Formica period was the 1950's. The kitchen tables with the metal edge banding were also '50's.

Paula,
No I haven't.
In our 63 Safari the original fridge had the B'rang face panel.
When we had the fridge replaced at JC they just transferred it to the new unit.
I bet if you call Retro Renovation they could supply a sample or a good photo.
From what's displayed on the site the quality looks pretty good.

The 'Boomerang' pattern was developed for Formica in 1950 by Brooks Stevens and came in one colour. The pattern was called Coral Skylark. It was updated with a new colour (Primrose) in 1955 by Raymond Loewy. Formica brought the pattern back in 2005. Here is a scan of my samples at 600dpi. I think that these are pretty much the same as the original samples from the 1950's that I've seen.

I know Buffalo, I can see it from our kitchen window. Not surprised you were able to find it here, anywhere near South Elmwood Av.?

It was near there.. if not on Elmwood.. on a side street.. was years ago. It was a vintage store ... I'd just moved there and I bought a super cool old sofa that had been reupholstered in turq piped in black vinyl and those two tables and I had to borrow a van to get them to the carriage house I was renting on West Ferry at the time ... was behind one of those mansions near a huge apartment building. I loved shopping in the Elmwood area - some super cool places!

Know the area well, lived right off the Elmwood Strip, Ashland & Lexington for years....... just may be the reason I'm "lost in the sixties".

I was there. I served my country in the '60s, but the stoners didn't see me because they were too busy getting stoned and protesting. I served stateside so I don't call myself a Vietam vet, but I knew some. I'm glad today we honor war vets.

My 2012 mattress is very comfortable and it came with an outside grill connection valve. It was made Dec 2011 and I got it Jan 2012, maybe I got a 2013 by mistake

Rich, our mattress is hard as a rock, we got a topper. If there is a grill connection it's pretty well hidden.

Well it is very firm, but it has like a pillowtop, top. I sleep like a baby on it. In fact I go out to the Stream for a nap now and then.
The grill outlet is bright yellow. Hard to miss. It is on the right side as I look back at the Stream from in front. The salesman had also pointed it out to me.
Does yours have the new china toilet? Very nice, just like a "real" toilet.

Rich, yeah we got the china toilet. Much nicer. Also dimmable overhead cabin lights. Maybe they iniatiate these changes gradually as stock arrives. There seems to be no rhyme or reason.
