Titling in US with Canadian registration

We have searched and searched the forums but can't seem to find a thread to help. We purchased our Excella from a Canadian couple who had purchased the camper in Florida. They had it titled there initially and then moved the title (registration) to Canada. They spent their winters in Florida and we purchased while they were in the states.

We have a photocopy of the Florida title and the original copy of the Canadian title (registration), but are finding it near impossible to get this thing titled in our names without first jumping through at least 20 steps, including driving to Baltimore with the rig to "import" it. We have called 3 of the agencies on the list and they are all giving differing information. It's just becoming so frustrating.

Has anyone had experience wth this? Any advice? Many thanks in advance!

I've imported both ways a couple times, it's not that big of a deal to do, and since you've an original US title, that should make it easier. But, you do have to import back to the US since they exported it to Canada. I'm surprised you can import it in Baltimore, but hey, that's only half way.

Call your local Dept Motor Vehicles and/or RV dealer and ask DMV for a copy or "link" to the regulation and ask the RV dealer if they'll assist you. They've likely done this previously and might see it as an opportunity for good-will towards future customers.
