As I'm still looking for my first Airstream, I came across a 60's Globtrotter. I asked about clear title and was informed that only a bill of sale could be provided, and this put up a red flag for me. The deal sounds to good to be true. Has anyone ever tried to do a title search for a used Airstream?

Hello Aerowood -- This issue comes up time and again. There are quite a few posts on the topic if you would use the 'Search' function. It comes down to regulations in your state but evidently there are routine ways to deal with this issue. If not your county license bureau, I'm sure you could start talking to state DMV folks and realize there is hope.

Bill of sale is a good start. Is there a license on the trailer from the last time/place it had a valid license plate?
