Make and Model information needed

Can anyone tell me where I would find the make and model information on an airstream trailer. The individual I bought it from had no documentation. I believe it was built in the 80's and could be an Excella.

I'm hoping there is a tag somewhere on the body of the trailer that would detail this information.

The tag on our '97 is on the curbside near the front of the trailer about 3 feet off the pavement. That will give you the vin and you can work from there. There are several threads here on Vin decoding.

That is also a ploy used when selling a "stolen" trailer.

No documentation, meaning no title?? Sounds fishy to me.

The trailer serial number is also stamped into the top of the A-frame, typically on the curb side.

On 80's models the tag was located on the A Frame near the body, not that all of them do this but both of mine had 2 tags, 1 on the roadside (left) side of the frame right next the body, 1 in the rear in the road side trunk which you have to stick your head inside and look towards the rear and it was on the wall. I found this tag when I was repairing a water leak and reconnecting phone & cable that had gotten cut during travel.
