I m fairly new to the forum, I m interested in purchasing a
1968 Bambi, basically as a project. The Airstream is pretty gutted out but in good shape on the outside. The person that I want to purchase from lives in Seattle Washington, I live in California. He does not have any papers or title on the Airstream, he mentioned he uses a 3 or 10 day permit when he tows it. Is this a bad idea? This is my first time wanting to purchase an Airstream, but I'm not feeling very comfortable with the idea that it doesn't have any type of paper work. How does one protect themselves to make sure its legitimate. I could sure use some advice. If this deal doesn't work out, I will continue to search for another one.
