Georgia Not Accepting Clear Florida Title

We sold our 2018 to a couple outside of Atlanta. The title is free and clear. There was a bank loan that was paid in full otherwise we couldn't have gotten our Florida Title.

Anyone else has issue with registering a unit in Georgia?

Does the title have a signed, embossed lien release on it? If not, you may need to get the lender to provide you with a release of lien...

I would talk to the folks in GA. Title problems are solvable you just need to find out what the issue is in this case with the particular clerk. What folks here think doesn't really matter, it's what the person behind the counter thinks.

Provide the buyers with the letter your bank provided showing the loan was retired.

What county are your buyers in? I have a contact in Forsyth County. We are 35 miles due North of Atlanta.

Perhaps you need to provide proof of Covid-19 vaccination?

This^^^^^^

Georgia is pretty easy to get a title (normally). We didn't even have a title and got it registered. Our '73 didn't need an existing title because it was over 10 years old.

Sounds like the clerk is a little off base, or maybe needs some additional training?. Here this is done in the TAG OFFICE. Anybody ever had trouble at the tag office?

Jim

Try a different DMV office. If its in city, the workers tend not know anything but if its outside of cities, they know more.

In the works, 21 days from the request. They don't send it automatically as they electronically release their liens with DMV. Thanks.
