Hello historians. This trailer is sitting in Colorado and in spite of it being in restorable condition, the owner was about to use it for landfill. The wood interior is fair to good, mostly intact. Windows mostly broken. No punctures in skin, a few dents which appear to be repairable.

What does someone do with this? I know someone has an interest and the owner just wants to get rid of it. It was given to him as a gift about five years ago. It appears to be close to 25 feet long.

Does it have a value?

Any help is appreciated.

It's a 1967 Airstream, that's 24 feet long as was made in Ohio.

It's value all depends on the beholder, and what they may intend to do with the trailer.

I could do everybody a favor and take it off the owners hands. I would not even charge. Might even pay for it. Can you provide more information or even better, photos? Can it be towed?

I'm in Colorado and may be interested. Where is it located? Airstrems make terrible land fill!

I do not have any photos, and whether it can be towed is a question of "how far". It has been towed around the farm it is on. I have contacted the owner and will give out info to those interested primarily in the interest of preserving a piece of history. My guess is the owner would like to see $500 or $1000, kinda because to encourage him not to just push it over the cliff, I said that is what he might get. The interior does not appear to have significant rot, many of the wood pieces do not even appear to need refinishing, all despite the fact the windows are broken. I do not recall seeing evidence of the roof leaking, only water coming in the broken windows. There is another old one in the same Southern Colorado area for sale which was used by the Geological Survey folks up until a few years ago. I can get info on this one as well.
