Wait...just saw this is GVWR... darn. That means 23's and below by 2018 specs.
I just registered my 2018 FC 25FB and it was just 200 lbs under the Texas cutoff for trailer inspections......and so was not required to have an inspection. ☺☺

Interesting... But to be fair, it's not a huge deal since I tend to do a yearly maintenance on the trailer anyhow. Actually, I have the dealership do that, so they do the inspection as part of that service. But it's good to know you don't have to do it.

Unhappy

Got my Texas registration renewal in the mail today. I had thought that I may just get by under the limit for getting a state inspection on my 27' because of the new laws. Like the saying goes, "there is no fool like an old fool". I see that they listed my empty weight as 6700# and a carrying capacity as 2300# and a gross weight of 9000#'s. If they had just stayed with the empty weight #'s I would have not needed the inspection but,,,,,,,,,, apparently, they had all my numbers in their records.

Texas Trailer Inspections

My title on 1997 Classic Limited states my empty weight is 8300 and Gross is 8400. I can only carry 100 lbs. This does not sound correct to me.

My 2014 FC 25’ registration shows 5,500 empty eight and 7,300 gross weight, so no inspection required.
