50's 'other numbers' on the tongue

what are the other numbers stamped into the tongue and bumper that are not the vin#? on 50's airstreams? did they always stamp the vin on the tongue? date of manufacture numbers?

The vin number and a chassis serial number have been stamped on the "A" frame

I have "2200" stamped onto the bumper and am now wondering if that is the chassis number. I know its not the weight. I never knew what that was.

i guess that eliminates date of manufacture since you have 2200 on your 59. darn, i thought i was onto something
