1973 Argosy: No title?

Hello! I'm shanetta and hopefully a soon to be Argosy owner.
I found my love and named her Truit. Truit is being sold with no title but he does have a bill of sale. We both live in NC and I can't find anything really specific about what I need to do to properly own her. Any kind words would be appreciate.

The big question will be why the previous owner does not have the title. If he had one in the past and lost it, he should be able to request a replacement from the DMV.

If there's no way to get your hands on the title, you'll be looking at getting a bonded title. This is a huge headache. Here's some light reading:
