Vehicle Service Contract

I bought a service contract with my 2003 GMC. I don't know why I did but, I did. The truck has 4 wheel drive, abs brakes,all the computer electronics, etc. Plenty to go wrong!

This is a comprehensive policy of Universal Underwriters Service Corporation of Shawnee Mission, Kansas.

Has anyone had a contract with these people? Are there games they play with the language, terms, exclusions, etc. that I am not reading into the policy. For example: They highlight "mechanical breakdown" over and over. Does this mean they would not pay for a engine computer, fuel injection repair, etc.?

Service Contracts are generally not a good deal.
They cover pretty much what your warranty covers.
They not not cover things like your battery, lamps,tires and wiper blades and the stuff that just generally wears out. If you drive like crazy and think that you will blow up your engine or tranny and they can't prove you abused it, than they will fix it only after the warranty expires.
