Insurance cost

We have a 2012 Flying Cloud 25 FB. We reside in southern Ontario Canada. Our first insurance bill came in and it is $1100.00 to insure the Airstream. It seems like a lot since we can insure our home for less. Can anyone living in Ontario tell me whether this is a fair price and if not, can you suggest a company that we can contact for a comparable quote. Thanks

That is almost exactly what I am paying (annually) for full coverage on my 2016 International 30 footer.

Insurance cost

2011 FC-28, about $750. Echelon is the insurer.

Annual fee for a 2011 FC23FB

Just review my insurance few days ago.
This year it cost me 657$ (Can$)
Each year I have an increase due to the "purchased price replacement value" clause in case of theft or total loss valid for 10 years of ownership.
I am living in Brossard, Québec Canada.

2016 / 26U in Ontario. we were quoted rates from 925 to 1350 year. After reviewing all the policy's features and benefits we pay [emoji383] 1065.00 for the coverage that best suits our usage and needs. It's not always the lowest rate that gets you the right coverage.

Edit to my post number 3 above, I was feeling I had erred on my numbers and so I looked it up. I paid $510 this year for insurance on my airstream. Echelon is an automotive type of insurance and is susceptible to change if my driving record should change.

Yup, this is one of those "throw it up in the air and see which way the wind blows threads".

There are so many variables in Ontario that impact insurance; where you live 416/905/519/705; how much the agreed upon replacement value (if you have one); age and gender of principal driver; Where you store the trailer; type of tow vehicle and potentially how many times you will be on the road with the trailer in tow, (retired or not). All these factors you haven't listed, so it would be very difficult to compare to others if they are not in the same location, age, gender,TV etc, etc.

I have a 1983 310 turbo diesel with an agreed potential replacement value of $80,000; I am 52, so a ways from retirement, live in the 519 area code, we use the coach from May to Oct, always stored in my driveway and I pay $365.00 a year. If I were retirement age or older, I have no doubt I'd be paying a whole lot more.

Cheers
Tony
